Doing something great with PalmPod!

It's been a while since anything new has happened with PalmPod, although PalmPod continues to perform and sell well. We appreciate all of your business, and are glad to hear all of your positive feedback!

More Importantly, PalmPod continues to make a difference in non-software ways as well. As you know, Sappenin is committed to donating $7.50 of every $15 "PalmPod for Charity" purchase to a worthy cause (See our store page for more info: http://www.sappenin.com/store).

Today, we are proud to announce our first 2006 donations on behalf of the "PalmPod for Charity" program. An undisclosed sum was donated to the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute, helping them to cure cancer as we know it.

Additionally, donatations were made to two WorldVision programs that are making a difference all over the world. First is the program to feed children affected by HIV/AIDS. From the WorldVision site:
"All too often, children who live in AIDS-ravaged communities don’t know where their next meal will come from. Many are in the care of siblings just a year or two older. Even those taken in by relatives or neighbors face hunger, since a community’s meager food resources can be stretched past the limit by the overwhelming number of children in need of caregivers. Your gift will provide nutritional support for children in Malawi — where more than 700,000 children have lost parents to AIDS — giving them a brighter future and easing their caregivers’ burdens."
We also decided to give to the WorldVision Hope for Girls Rescued from the Sex Trade initiative. Again, from the WorldVision website:
"Your gift will offer assistance such as medical care, nutritious food, nonformal education, vocational training, compassionate counseling, and, where possible, reintegration into a loving family environment for girls like Lea whose innocence has been damaged through sexual exploitation."
We're proud to be able to make a differnce in the world in so many diverse ways, and we thank you for being a part of that.

Sincerely,

The Sappenin Team
